El rodillo giratorio y la l\u00e1mina colada se extraen de forma continua de entre los rodillos. El m\u00e9todo se caracteriza porque el espesor de la l\u00e1mina colada est\u00e1 comprendido entre 4 y 5,8 mm, y la velocidad de colada es superior a 1,3 m\/min. Preferiblemente, el espesor de la l\u00e1mina colada se sit\u00faa en el intervalo de cuatro a cinco mil\u00edmetros, y la velocidad de colada est\u00e1 comprendida entre 1,5 y 1,9 metros por minuto.<\/p>\n<p>Las aleaciones preferidas para la fabricaci\u00f3n de materiales para discos son las 5082, 5086 y 5182. La experiencia ha demostrado que estas aleaciones son especialmente dif\u00edciles de fundir en continuo con una calidad elevada y constante. No se ha desarrollado a\u00fan la tecnolog\u00eda adecuada para producir piezas brutas de disco con estos materiales. Solo se ha producido un volumen reducido de metal a escala piloto. Aun as\u00ed, el m\u00e9todo sigue dependiendo de un control estricto de la composici\u00f3n qu\u00edmica de la aleaci\u00f3n, lo cual es dif\u00edcil de lograr en condiciones de producci\u00f3n. La segregaci\u00f3n intermet\u00e1lica sigue siendo un problema, ya que las part\u00edculas m\u00e1s grandes siguen teniendo un tama\u00f1o suficiente como para sobresalir de la superficie o dejar huecos, lo que, en ambos casos, impedir\u00e1 la formaci\u00f3n del \u00e1nodo y de la pel\u00edcula magn\u00e9tica durante el tratamiento electroqu\u00edmico.<\/p>\n<p>Lo m\u00e1s importante es que la tecnolog\u00eda actual de colada continua de aleaciones de aluminio para estas aleaciones no produce una estructura superficial completamente uniforme en la banda fundida. En muchas aleaciones en las que los elementos de aleaci\u00f3n del aluminio superan aproximadamente el 2%, las ondulaciones parecen ser un problema. Los materiales de aluminio forjado de la serie 1000 no suelen considerarse un problema. Estos materiales de aluminio forjado son, en realidad, aluminio puro comercial con un contenido de aluminio del 99% o m\u00e1s.<\/p>\n<p>Es bien sabido que la causa de las ondulaciones en la chapa de aleaci\u00f3n de aluminio de colada continua est\u00e1 relacionada con la contaminaci\u00f3n presente en la superficie del rodillo de colada.
