{"id":6427,"date":"2020-11-14T08:16:12","date_gmt":"2020-11-14T08:16:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.alalloycasting.com\/?p=6427"},"modified":"2020-11-13T09:33:33","modified_gmt":"2020-11-13T09:33:33","slug":"alkali-metals-in-aluminum-melt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alalloycasting.com\/es\/alkali-metals-in-aluminum-melt\/","title":{"rendered":"Metales alcalinos en el aluminio fundido"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Los metales alcalinos y alcalinot\u00e9rreos presentes en el aluminio fundido proceden principalmente de los elementos de estos grupos que intervienen en el proceso de electr\u00f3lisis del aluminio \u2014como el Na, el Li, el Ca, etc.\u2014, as\u00ed como de los fundentes de las aleaciones de aluminio. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alalloycasting.com\/es\/aluminum-alloy-fluxes\/\">Fundentes de aleaci\u00f3n de aluminio<\/a> est\u00e1n compuestos, por lo general, por metales alcalinos y metales alcalinot\u00e9rreos. Los principales componentes de los cloruros y fluoruros son KCl, NaCl, NaF, CaF, Na\u2083AlF\u2086, Na\u2082SiF\u2086, etc. Tras el uso del fundente de refinado de aluminio, los metales alcalinos y alcalinot\u00e9rreos mencionados anteriormente permanecer\u00e1n en la masa fundida.<\/p>\n<p>Tomemos como ejemplo el sodio, un metal alcalino. El sodio es pr\u00e1cticamente insoluble en el aluminio, y su solubilidad m\u00e1xima en estado s\u00f3lido es inferior a 0,0025%. En las aleaciones de Al-Mg, cuando el contenido de magnesio supera el 2%, el magnesio desplaza al silicio y libera sodio libre. El Na se solidifica durante el proceso de solidificaci\u00f3n. Al encontrarse en los l\u00edmites de grano, durante el proceso de deformaci\u00f3n pl\u00e1stica, debido a su bajo punto de fusi\u00f3n, recupera su estado libre y constituye el origen de las grietas. A medida que aumenta la deformaci\u00f3n, las grietas convergen para formar fisuras, lo que constituye el denominado fen\u00f3meno de la \u201cfragilidad por sodio\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>El calcio presente en la aleaci\u00f3n de aluminio formar\u00e1 nuevas fases, CaAl\u2084 y CaAl\u2082, junto con el aluminio. La formaci\u00f3n de estas nuevas fases favorece la reducci\u00f3n de las fases de refuerzo en la aleaci\u00f3n de aluminio. Por ejemplo, cuando la fase CaAl\u2084 est\u00e1 presente en la aleaci\u00f3n de aluminio, la fase de refuerzo \u03b8 (CuAl\u2082) disminuir\u00e1, y la dureza de la aleaci\u00f3n de aluminio tras el tratamiento de envejecimiento en soluci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n disminuir\u00e1. Desde el punto de vista de la microestructura, la fase CaAl\u2084 presenta una estructura tetragonal centrada en el cuerpo. Debido a la proximidad entre la constante de red y el radio at\u00f3mico del Cu, el Cu de la fase \u03b8 puede sustituir al Al de la fase CaAl\u2084 para formar una nueva fase compuesta, lo que provoca la reducci\u00f3n de la fase de refuerzo. Cuando el contenido de Ca alcanza el 1,21 TP3T, los \u00e1tomos de Cu sustituyen a dos \u00e1tomos de aluminio en la fase CaAl\u2082 para formar una nueva fase compuesta. El nuevo compuesto no se disuelve en la matriz de aluminio y no puede sufrir un endurecimiento por precipitaci\u00f3n. El calcio presente en la aleaci\u00f3n de aluminio reduce la dureza en estado de fundici\u00f3n y, a medida que aumenta el contenido de calcio, tambi\u00e9n disminuye la dureza de la aleaci\u00f3n de aluminio tras el tratamiento t\u00e9rmico. Adem\u00e1s, cuando el contenido del elemento de impureza nocivo Ca en la masa fundida de aluminio es elevado, la fluidez de la masa fundida de la aleaci\u00f3n de aluminio se ve reducida, y es f\u00e1cil que se produzcan burbujas de aire, poros microsc\u00f3picos o poros. En casos graves, se producir\u00e1n compuestos de segregaci\u00f3n duros y fr\u00e1giles, lo que provocar\u00e1 un aumento significativo de la tasa de desechos de las piezas fundidas y reducir\u00e1 el efecto de endurecimiento por tratamiento t\u00e9rmico de las aleaciones de aluminio.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan los informes disponibles, el m\u00e9todo que se puede emplear para eliminar los metales alcalinos del aluminio fundido consiste en utilizar un horno de mantenimiento<br \/>\nPara el refinado de la masa fundida se utilizan cloro, agentes de refinado que contienen cloro (como el hexacloroetano, el tetracloruro de carbono, etc.) o agentes de refinado que contienen fluoruro. Sin embargo, durante el proceso en el que se utiliza cloro, cloruro o fluoruro, se producir\u00e1 cloro gaseoso que se desprender\u00e1 del aluminio fundido, cloro gaseoso y fluoruro de hidr\u00f3geno generados tras la reacci\u00f3n con metales alcalinos, as\u00ed como cloro gaseoso y tetracloruro de carbono gasificados por el calentamiento, que da\u00f1ar\u00e1n gravemente el revestimiento del horno y acortar\u00e1n su vida \u00fatil. En segundo lugar, supondr\u00e1 riesgos laborales para los operarios de producci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Mediante una reacci\u00f3n de sustituci\u00f3n se consigue un m\u00e9todo respetuoso con el medio ambiente y eficiente para la eliminaci\u00f3n de metales alcalinos y alcalinot\u00e9rreos. El principio b\u00e1sico consiste en aprovechar las caracter\u00edsticas de la actividad qu\u00edmica de los metales alcalinos y alcalinot\u00e9rreos seg\u00fan su orden de actividad, y a\u00f1adir otras sales met\u00e1licas con cationes relativamente inactivos, para posteriormente eliminarlos mediante otros m\u00e9todos f\u00edsicos. Tomando como ejemplo la eliminaci\u00f3n del Na de las aleaciones que contienen magnesio, dicha eliminaci\u00f3n se consigue generalmente mediante la reacci\u00f3n de sustituci\u00f3n entre el MgCl\u2082 y el Na elemental. La f\u00f3rmula b\u00e1sica de la reacci\u00f3n es la siguiente:<br \/>\nMgCl\u2082 + 2Na = 2NaCl + Mg<\/p>\n<p>En la actualidad, las aleaciones de alto rendimiento evolucionan hacia especificaciones de mayor tama\u00f1o, y los requisitos dimensionales de las planchas de fundici\u00f3n aumentan progresivamente. El gas residual, las impurezas, la escoria y los metales alcalinos y alcalinot\u00e9rreos presentes en la masa fundida de aleaci\u00f3n de aluminio resultar\u00e1n m\u00e1s perjudiciales durante el
