El primero contiene sodio (Na), y el NaCl-KCl equimolar forma un eut\u00e9ctico de bajo punto de fusi\u00f3n a 665 \u00b0C, que tiene un fuerte efecto humectante sobre el Al\u2082O\u2083. Se utiliza generalmente en aleaciones que no son sensibles al sodio y constituye la base de la mayor\u00eda de los fundentes; el segundo, como <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alalloycasting.com\/es\/sodium-free-refining-agent\/\">Flujo sin Na<\/a>, es la base de los fundentes para aleaciones de aluminio con alto contenido en Mg. La mezcla de KCl y MgCl\u2082 presenta un punto de fusi\u00f3n bajo, entre 424 y 465 \u2103.<\/p>\n<p>Con el fin de aumentar el efecto de separaci\u00f3n entre la escoria y el aluminio, mejorar la tensi\u00f3n superficial del fundente y potenciar su capacidad de purificaci\u00f3n, se a\u00f1aden aditivos como Na\u2083AlF\u2086, K\u2083AlF\u2086 o CaF a la base del fundente. La incorporaci\u00f3n de estos aditivos se divide generalmente en mezcla mec\u00e1nica y mezcla por refundici\u00f3n; la uniformidad de la composici\u00f3n del fundente mezclado por refundici\u00f3n es mucho mayor que la de la mezcla mec\u00e1nica y permite obtener eut\u00e9cticos de bajo punto de fusi\u00f3n, aunque el coste es, en consecuencia, m\u00e1s elevado.
