El di\u00e1metro interior del dep\u00f3sito de almacenamiento es menor que el di\u00e1metro de la cavidad del molde, y la distancia entre su saliente y la pared interior del molde es de 0 a 3,2 m. La masa fundida en el dep\u00f3sito de almacenamiento se mantiene estable por encima de la temperatura de liquidus y no se cristaliza. Esto es lo que se conoce como \u201cHot Top\u201d. En la parte inferior hay un manguito de grafito de alta pureza, que se encarga de dar forma y dimensionar el lingote, adem\u00e1s de ejercer un cierto efecto lubricante. Durante la colada, el nivel del material fundido en el dep\u00f3sito de almacenamiento se mantiene al mismo nivel que el del material fundido en el <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alalloycasting.com\/es\/casting-launder-2\/\">canal de colada<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Las caracter\u00edsticas de la fundici\u00f3n con \u00abhot top\u00bb convencional son que se reduce la altura de la zona efectiva de cristalizaci\u00f3n en el molde, se potencia el efecto de refrigeraci\u00f3n secundaria directa por agua, se elimina el efecto indeseable del espacio de aire generado por el m\u00e9todo tradicional y se mejora significativamente la calidad superficial del lingote. El enfriamiento primario y el secundario est\u00e1n estrechamente conectados para aumentar la velocidad de enfriamiento, y la velocidad de colada es 10%-20% mayor que la del m\u00e9todo tradicional. Todo el proceso de transferencia de la masa fundida se desarrolla al mismo nivel, formando un amplio nivel de l\u00edquido, sin ning\u00fan tipo de ca\u00edda, y se lleva a cabo en un entorno herm\u00e9tico y con conservaci\u00f3n del calor.
