Les fonderies d'aluminium utilisent souvent de l'argon, de l'azote ou du chlore comme agent de d\u00e9gazage.<\/p>\n<p>Le d\u00e9gazage en fonderie d'aluminium fait appel \u00e0 des gaz inertes (argon et azote) qui permettent d'\u00e9liminer efficacement l'hydrog\u00e8ne, du moins dans une certaine mesure, mais qui s'av\u00e8rent relativement inefficaces pour \u00e9liminer les impuret\u00e9s de mati\u00e8re active telles que le sodium, le calcium, le lithium et l'exc\u00e8s de magn\u00e9sium.<\/p>\n<p>L'argon et l'azote sont efficaces pour le d\u00e9gazage dans la fonderie d'aluminium, mais ils ne peuvent \u00e9liminer qu'une certaine quantit\u00e9 d'hydrog\u00e8ne absolu. Un autre probl\u00e8me li\u00e9 \u00e0 l'argon ou \u00e0 l'azote de qualit\u00e9 industrielle r\u00e9side dans le fait que ces gaz peuvent contenir de l'humidit\u00e9 et de l'oxyg\u00e8ne, susceptibles de former de l'hydrog\u00e8ne et de l'oxyde d'aluminium. Les gaz d\u2019ultra-haute puret\u00e9 permettent d\u2019\u00e9viter ce probl\u00e8me. Ni l\u2019azote ni l\u2019argon n\u2019ont d\u2019effet significatif sur les oxydes ou les particules pr\u00e9sents dans la masse fondue.<\/p>\n<p>L'argon est un gaz inerte ; il ne r\u00e9agit pas avec la masse fondue, de sorte que l'hydrog\u00e8ne est \u00e9limin\u00e9 par diffusion dans les bulles d'argon. Les particules sont \u00e9limin\u00e9es par un m\u00e9canisme de purification. \u00c0 l'exception d'une \u00e9ventuelle agitation m\u00e9canique, l'argon n'a aucun effet sur les \u00e9l\u00e9ments. En principe, l'azote a le m\u00eame effet que l'argon. Cependant, on consid\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement que, dans des situations similaires, lorsque l'on utilise de l'argon ou de l'azote, la d\u00e9shydrog\u00e9nation est plus rapide. De m\u00eame, lorsque l'on utilise de l'argon, la quantit\u00e9 absolue d'hydrog\u00e8ne restant dans la masse fondue sera l\u00e9g\u00e8rement inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle observ\u00e9e avec l'azote.<\/p>\n<p>Le d\u00e9gazage dans les fonderies d'aluminium utilise du chlore, qui, une fois ajout\u00e9 \u00e0 la masse fondue, r\u00e9agit rapidement avec l'AlCl\u2083, ce dernier se pr\u00e9sentant sous forme gazeuse \u00e0 une temp\u00e9rature sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 environ 374 degr\u00e9s Fahrenheit ; la masse fondue est ainsi purg\u00e9e par les bulles d'AlCl\u2083 qui remontent vers le haut. Le chlore est tr\u00e8s efficace pour \u00e9liminer l'hydrog\u00e8ne par diffusion, car la pression partielle de l'hydrog\u00e8ne dans l'AlCl\u2083 est pratiquement nulle. Cependant, l'exc\u00e8s st\u0153chiom\u00e9trique de chlore gazeux est rejet\u00e9 du bain fondu sous forme de chlore pur, ce qui pose des probl\u00e8mes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et d'environnement.
