No processo subsequente de extrus\u00e3o ou calandragem, ela n\u00e3o pode ser compactada. As pe\u00e7as fundidas com grandes diferen\u00e7as de espessura de parede e formas complexas, especialmente as grandes e finas, s\u00e3o propensas \u00e0 fissura\u00e7\u00e3o a frio. Todos os fatores que podem aumentar a tens\u00e3o na pe\u00e7a fundida, bem como reduzir sua resist\u00eancia e plasticidade, favorecem o desenvolvimento de fissuras a frio.<\/p>\n<p>A fissura\u00e7\u00e3o a quente \u00e9 um defeito comum na fundi\u00e7\u00e3o, dif\u00edcil de ser completamente eliminado. Com exce\u00e7\u00e3o da liga Al-Si, ela pode ser encontrada em quase todas as ligas de alum\u00ednio deformadas industrialmente. O mecanismo de forma\u00e7\u00e3o das fissuras t\u00e9rmicas inclui, principalmente, a teoria da resist\u00eancia, a teoria da pel\u00edcula l\u00edquida e a teoria da forma\u00e7\u00e3o de fissuras. Entre elas, a teoria da resist\u00eancia \u00e9 a mais geral. Com base nos resultados de pesquisas sobre as propriedades mec\u00e2nicas da liga em altas temperaturas, acredita-se que todas as ligas apresentem uma \u201cfaixa de temperatura de fragilidade\u201d, caracterizada por resist\u00eancia e alongamento extremamente baixos na zona s\u00f3lido-l\u00edquida acima da temperatura de solidus. Quando a liga esfria nesse intervalo, se a tens\u00e3o causada pela contra\u00e7\u00e3o exceder a resist\u00eancia do metal nesse momento, ou se a deforma\u00e7\u00e3o causada pela tens\u00e3o exceder a plasticidade do metal, isso levar\u00e1 \u00e0 gera\u00e7\u00e3o de trincas a quente.<\/p>\n<p>No processo de produ\u00e7\u00e3o, geralmente n\u00e3o h\u00e1 fissuras puramente a quente ou puramente a frio. Quando o teor de impurezas \u00e9 elevado, a distor\u00e7\u00e3o da rede cristalina na estrutura da liga aumenta, a tens\u00e3o interna cresce e a capacidade de resistir \u00e0 deforma\u00e7\u00e3o pl\u00e1stica diminui consideravelmente, fazendo com que a liga fique propensa \u00e0 forma\u00e7\u00e3o de trincas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reduzir o teor de g\u00e1s e o teor de inclus\u00f5es<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Durante a fundi\u00e7\u00e3o do alum\u00ednio e das ligas de alum\u00ednio, o g\u00e1s do forno e o ar devem interagir com o alum\u00ednio fundido na interface, resultando em processos como combina\u00e7\u00e3o, decomposi\u00e7\u00e3o, dissolu\u00e7\u00e3o e difus\u00e3o.
