O van\u00e1dio tamb\u00e9m tem o efeito de refinar a estrutura de recristaliza\u00e7\u00e3o e aumentar a temperatura de recristaliza\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>O c\u00e1lcio apresenta solubilidade s\u00f3lida muito baixa em ligas de alum\u00ednio e forma compostos de CaAl\u2084 com o alum\u00ednio. O c\u00e1lcio tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 um elemento superpl\u00e1stico das ligas de alum\u00ednio. As ligas com cerca de 5% de c\u00e1lcio e 5% de mangan\u00eas apresentam superplasticidade. O c\u00e1lcio e o sil\u00edcio formam CaSi e s\u00e3o insol\u00faveis no alum\u00ednio. Devido \u00e0 redu\u00e7\u00e3o da solu\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00f3lida de sil\u00edcio, a condutividade do alum\u00ednio puro industrial pode ser ligeiramente melhorada. O c\u00e1lcio pode melhorar o desempenho de corte das ligas de alum\u00ednio. O CaSi\u2082 n\u00e3o \u00e9 capaz de refor\u00e7ar a liga de alum\u00ednio por meio de tratamento t\u00e9rmico. Apenas na liga de alum\u00ednio deformada Al-Mg ele substitui o bismuto para evitar a fragiliza\u00e7\u00e3o por s\u00f3dio. Quando o s\u00f3dio est\u00e1 presente na liga, ele \u00e9 adsorvido na superf\u00edcie das dendritas ou nos limites dos gr\u00e3os durante a solidifica\u00e7\u00e3o. Durante o trabalho a quente, o s\u00f3dio nos limites dos gr\u00e3os forma uma camada de adsor\u00e7\u00e3o l\u00edquida. Quando ocorre fissura\u00e7\u00e3o fr\u00e1gil, formam-se compostos de NaAlSi sem s\u00f3dio livre, e a \u201cfragilidade do s\u00f3dio\u201d n\u00e3o \u00e9 gerada. Quando o teor de magn\u00e9sio excede 2%, o magn\u00e9sio captura o sil\u00edcio e precipita o s\u00f3dio livre, resultando na \u201cfragilidade por s\u00f3dio\u201d.
