O metal fundido apresenta maior tend\u00eancia \u00e0 turbul\u00eancia durante a fundi\u00e7\u00e3o. O alum\u00ednio l\u00edquido passa pela estrutura porosa tridimensional do filtro de espuma cer\u00e2mica de zirc\u00f4nia e, por fim, \u00e9 transformado em um fluxo laminar muito est\u00e1vel. O fluxo laminar consegue preencher melhor a cavidade, reduzindo assim a corros\u00e3o por impacto do metal fundido na cavidade.
