O processo de eletr\u00f3lise \u00e9 geralmente realizado a uma temperatura de 950-970 \u2103, determinada pelas propriedades da mistura fundida de criolita e alumina que comp\u00f5e o eletr\u00f3lito e a alumina; portanto, a temperatura do alum\u00ednio fundido na c\u00e9lula eletrol\u00edtica \u00e9 de pelo menos 940 \u2103.
