O processo de refinamento de gr\u00e3os \u00e9 amplamente utilizado na lingotagem semicont\u00ednua. Como esse processo permite o uso conveniente de um alimentador de fio refinado, a dire\u00e7\u00e3o de adi\u00e7\u00e3o do refinador de gr\u00e3os e a velocidade de adi\u00e7\u00e3o do fio refinado podem ser ajustadas adequadamente para garantir o melhor efeito de refinamento. Al\u00e9m disso, no processo de produ\u00e7\u00e3o do refinador de gr\u00e3os, os gr\u00e3os do pr\u00f3prio refinador j\u00e1 foram refinados, o que otimiza o efeito de refinamento da placa de lingotamento semicont\u00ednuo.
