Durante o processo de remo\u00e7\u00e3o da esc\u00f3ria da placa vertical, pequenas part\u00edculas de p\u00f3 do bico de fundi\u00e7\u00e3o, poeira e rebarbas de alum\u00ednio aderem aos rolos. Embora o rolo seja limpo pelo limpador de rolos, algumas dessas part\u00edculas acabam entrando entre os <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alalloycasting.com\/pt\/ceramic-fiber-castertip\/\">ponta do rod\u00edzio<\/a> e rolos, sendo incorporada. E, como a bocal est\u00e1 derramando esc\u00f3ria, o alum\u00ednio l\u00edquido passa pela cavidade do bocal, e o bocal \u00e9 aquecido e se expande, o que tamb\u00e9m reduzir\u00e1 a folga entre a cavidade do bocal e o rolo.<\/p>\n<p>Parte do revestimento do bico ser\u00e1 esfregada contra a superf\u00edcie do rolo. Quando a chapa for descarregada, ela ser\u00e1 submetida a uma certa for\u00e7a de lamina\u00e7\u00e3o, o que faz com que a esc\u00f3ria se desprenda parcialmente do bico de alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o, fazendo com que o metal fundido local entre em contato primeiro com a superf\u00edcie do rolo de fundi\u00e7\u00e3o e se cristalize mais cedo do que em outros pontos, formando uma esp\u00e9cie de camada de condensa\u00e7\u00e3o e causando encolhimento volum\u00e9trico. O metal fundido sob a camada de condensa\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o oferece resist\u00eancia durante a lamina\u00e7\u00e3o. Ap\u00f3s o bico ser aquecido e expandido, haver\u00e1 uma certa dist\u00e2ncia em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 superf\u00edcie do rolo. A chapa n\u00e3o entra em contato com a superf\u00edcie do rolo.
