Foundry Degassing Equipment

Foundry Degassing Equipment

The foundry degassing equipment processing principle is the principle of air flotation. The process gas (inert gas or a mixture of inert gas and chlorine) is injected into the melt through the rotor, and the rotor is broken into uniformly dispersed tiny bubbles, and the tiny bubbles rise into the melt. The hydrogen is absorbed and eliminated by the bubbles, and the inclusions are captured by the bubbles, and then rise to the surface of the melt to form scum.

The main object for degassing molten aluminum is hydrogen, and the current main method is to create a large number of bubbles in the molten aluminum. The gas of these bubbles may be generated by a chemical reaction inside the aluminum liquid, or it may be blown indirectly from the outside through a pipe. Since there is no hydrogen in these bubbles, the partial pressure of hydrogen in the bubbles is equal to zero, and the hydrogen atoms dissolved in the aluminum liquid diffuse into the bubbles. Because the bubble density is small and floats up, when the bubbles rise to the liquid surface of the molten aluminum, the bubbles burst and the hydrogen gas escapes into the atmosphere. Such a large number of bubbles can reduce the hydrogen content of the aluminum alloy.

The inclusions in the middle of aluminum alloy smelting are mainly oxides and impurities such as Al203. The removal of these impurities also requires the help of a large number of bubbles. In the degassing process, a large number of bubbles float from the inside of the molten aluminum to the liquid surface. When the bubbles encounter impurities during the upward movement, the inclusions are attached to the surface of the bubbles due to the effect of surface tension, and finally, the bubbles bring the inclusions to liquid surface. It can be seen that the inclusions are also removed while removing the gas.

Foundry Degassing Equipment

The Foundry Degassing Equipment includes a box body, a box cover covering the box body and a rotor.

The body of the degassing box is integrally cast and sintered with high-strength imported castable, which has good thermal shock resistance.

The insulation layer on the outside of the box is made of high-quality imported nanoboard, lightweight fiberboard and other materials, which has good insulation performance.

The box cover is integrally cast and sintered with lightweight castables.
