1. Control the melting temperature

Aluminum alloy smelting is one of the most important processes to produce high quality casting rod. If the process is not properly controlled, many casting defects such as slag inclusion, porosity, coarse grain size and feather crystal will occur in the casting rod, so it must be strictly controlled.

It is better to control the melting temperature of 6063 aluminum alloy between 750-760℃, too low will increase the generation of slag, too high will increase hydrogen absorption, oxidation, nitride burning loss. The study shows that the solubility of hydrogen in liquid aluminum rises sharply above 760℃, and there are many ways to absorb hydrogen when heat is reduced, such as drying melting furnace and melting tools, to prevent the use of flux from damp deterioration. However, melting temperature is one of the most sensitive factors. Over-separation melting temperature not only wastes energy and increases cost, but also directly causes defects such as porosity, coarse grain size and feather crystal.
