Ceramic Foam Filter Kandalaksha Aluminum

Ceramic Foam Filter Kandalaksha Aluminum

Ceramic Foam Filter Kandalaksha Aluminum has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, molten metal corrosion resistance, high strength, high qualification rate, and large surface area. Mainly used for the filtration and purification of metallurgy and foundry molten metal.

The molten metal mixture flows through the porous structure of the ceramic foam to become a uniform, smooth and clean molten metal.

Ceramic Foam Filter Kandalaksha Aluminum removes micron-level inclusions and reduces product scrap rate. Foam ceramic filters can be made with different pore sizes and porosities to obtain satisfactory filtering effects.

Features of Ceramic Foam Filter

1. High permeability, good strength and thermal shock resistance, stable quality, and will not drop slag under high temperature.
2. Thermal stability and chemical stability at high temperature to avoid chemical reaction with molten metal after filtration.
3. The pure ceramic composite material has high porosity and good high-temperature mechanical strength.
4. Convenient operation and energy saving. Make the metal flow smoothly, avoid sputtering, and reflow.

Ceramic Foam Filter for Casting effectively removes large inclusions in molten aluminum, absorbs fine inclusions in particles, improves product performance and microstructure, and is widely used in Kandalaksha aluminum alloy casting and other production fields. AdTech provides various advanced ceramic foam filters. These structures are widely praised for their robust structure and dimensional accuracy.

Kandalaksha Aluminum Company is the northernmost factory of RUSAL, 250 kilometers away from Murmansk’s ice-free port. The only aluminum smelter in the world is located outside the Arctic Circle.

It was put into use in 1951. It can lead to the commercial harbour of Kandalaksha.

In 2014, the modernization project of the foundry department was completed, and the Properzi rolling mill with an annual output of 50,000 tons of wire rod was installed.

In 2018, the “quenching furnace complex installation” project with an annual output of 6.8 million tons of wire rod was implemented. The result of these projects is to expand the product range.
