Alumina ceramic foam filter is mainly designed to improve the quality of aluminum casthouse. The filter can effectively remove non-metallic inclusions, including slag and grime, from the molten metal stream.
In addition, they help reduce turbulence in the trigger system.
The alumina ceramic foam filter, exceptional thermal shock resistance and high strength properties have been developed for superior performance in extreme applications of foundry of iron or aluminum and copper based alloys.
Features of Alumina Ceramic Foam Filter for Casthouse
- Precise size control when cutting the filter media sponge until final sintering.
- High strength with enough sludge and free of loose debris, no breakage and no filter slag.
- Branded main raw material to ensure stable quality.
- Good porosity and block-free when pouring molten metal.
- Mature sintering technology to ensure high refractory and good thermal shock resistance.
Ceramic foam filter according to materials: alumina foam ceramic filters, silicon carbide ceramic foam filter, zirconia ceramic foam filter and magnesium oxide foam ceramic filter.
Alumina ceramic foam filter mainly for filtration of aluminum and aluminum alloys in foundries and foundries. With their excellent resistance to attack and corrosion of molten aluminum, they can effectively remove inclusions, reduce trapped gases and provide a laminar flow, and then the filtered metal is noticeably cleaner. Cleaner metal results in better quality castings, less scrap and fewer embedding defects, which contributes to the bottom line.
Common Size Ceramic Alumina Foam Filter (CFF-PAL)
CFF-PAL is available in all popular sizes: 7 ″, 9 ″, 12 ″, 15 ″, 17 ″, 20 ″ and 23 ″. AdTech offers the full range of porosities from PPI 10 up to PPI 60 (PPI = pores per inch).
The alumina ceramic foam filter is equipped with a gasket on the edges. The gasket ensures the correct and tight position of the filter in the filter housing. There are different types of gaskets available eg. ceramic fiber gasket, etc. You can also choose CFF-AL without a seal.
