poured porous ceramic filter

Through microscope observation and analysis of the “poured porous ceramic filter”, many effective conclusions were obtained.

It can be seen from the microscope image of the S32 super depth of field that the size and shape of the slag inclusions in the black metal matrix are similar to those around the gray filter.

There are adsorbed slag inclusions at the interface of the metal matrix. The energy spectrum analysis of the adsorbate around the filter shows that there are Cl, Al, O, Si,

Elements such as Ca are oxide slag inclusions and residues of slag remover.

From the analysis of the slag inclusions on the sample matrix in Figure 11 and Figure 12, the slag inclusions also contain elements such as Cl, Al, O, Si, Ca, etc.

The slag inclusions in the block are mostly oxide and salt inclusions.

Through the analysis of the poured porous ceramic filter, the following conclusions can be drawn:

(1) The poured porous ceramic filter has an obvious slag-trapping effect. From the inflow surface to the outflow surface of the porous ceramic filter, the number of filter residues gradually decreases, that is,

Most of the slag is retained at the filter inlet, and the minimum slag inclusion size can reach 11 microns.

(2) The energy spectrum analysis shows that the slag inclusions contain Cl, Al, O, Si, Ca, and other elements, and the slag inclusions are mostly oxide slag inclusions and residues of slag remover.

(3) There are many slag inclusions around the filter, which are caused by the adsorption of the poured porous ceramic filter, and are mostly oxide and salt slag inclusions.

2.2 Composition analysis of slag inclusions

To make it easier to observe the slag, S32 was taken for observation under a super-depth of field microscope, and a scanning electron microscope was used to analyze the defects by energy spectrum.

It can be seen from the microscope image of the S32 super depth of field in Fig. 9 that the size and shape of the slag inclusions in the black metal matrix are similar to those around the gray filter.
