This CFF filtering process can filter the micro oxide inclusions with good effect and low cost. The equipment structure is simple and easy to use. It is suitable for all kinds of alloys. The results show that the yield of 3003 alloy printed board is increased by 9%, the average weight between two broken ends of 1145 alloy capacitor aluminum foil is increased by 45%, and the extrusion speed of 6063 alloy building aluminum profile is increased by 20%. The disadvantage is that the process itself does not have the function of hydrogen removal, and the filter plate needs to be replaced regularly, which is easy to be damaged, which often brings trouble to the production.

Glass fiber screen filtration method has been widely used at home and abroad. The size of the holes is 1.2 * 1.5 (mm), the number of holes is 30 / cm2, and the flow rate is about 200kg / min. The characteristics of this method are strong adaptability, simple operation and low cost, but the filtration effect is not stable, only large inclusions can be removed, and the effect of small inclusions is poor. Therefore, it is only suitable for ingot production with low quality requirements. And the glass fiber mesh can only be used once and needs to be replaced frequently.

There are several corundum microporous ceramic tubes with an outer diameter of 100 mm, an inner diameter of 50 mm and a length of 500-900 mm. The ceramic tube is made by pressing, drying at low temperature and sintering at high temperature with alumina as the main component of granular refractory material as skeleton and low silicon glass as binder. When the melt passes through the tortuous micro channels with different sizes of ceramic tubes, the inclusions in the melt are blocked and settled, and the inclusion particles in the melt are filtered out by the adsorption of medium surface and van der Waals force. The filtering precision is: 20 mesh ceramic tube can filter more than 5 LM inclusions, 16 mesh ceramic tubes can filter 8-10 LM inclusion particles.

The service life of ceramic tube can pass through 300 ~ 600t aluminum melt. The slag removal effect of this method is excellent. It can filter out the inclusions of several microns. Therefore, it is suitable for producing high quality aluminum products, such as 0.005mm-thick ultra-thin aluminum foil, aircraft forgings, high-strength thin-walled profiles, beverage can plate, etc.
